Mortal Kombat reference
editThe "Cultural References" section mentioned that Gwen Raiden's last name might be a reference to a character from Mortal Kombat. According to the article for "Raiden," it is a Japanese/Chinese (???) word which describes the physical phenomena of thunder and lightning. As such, it makes sense for the character and doesn't need additional justification.
I have removed the claim, as it was entirely unsubstantiated. If someone has evidence that the writers intended to make a reference to the video game series, please add it back into the article. However, two otherwise unrelated characters sharing a relatively common name is NOT enough to constitute a reference and doesn't belong in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.6.158.192 (talk) 00:38, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
