The group database exists on all Unix operating systems in the last 20 years, and in the default method of obtaining information on groups, group ID numbers, and member users on all currently maintained Unix-like operating systems.
Not sure why someone has marked this as 'web content' for speedy deletion. This page and its contents have nothing to do with the web whatsoever.
