Notability
editThis is in response to the deletion request. The series of articles apart of the journal for this wikipedia page have been used numerously in various publications centering around the idea of facilitation.
A couple examples of published third party books/sources where the journal was used as a resource are shown below :
- Understanding Facilitation: Theory & Principles By Christine Hogan
- The Art of Facilitation: The Essentials for Leading Great Meetings and creating group synergy By Dale Hunter
- The Oxford Handbook of Group Counseling edited by Robert K. Conyne
- Research capacity building for development: resources for higher education institutions By Irish-African Partnership for Research Capacity Building
- First-Time Leaders of Small Groups: How to Create High Performing Committees, Task Forces, Clubs and Boards By Manuel London, Marilyn London
- Visual Identity: Promoting and Protecting the Public Face of an Organization edited by Soon Ang, Linn Van Dyne
The journal which is published annually, is being sold currently within multiple online retailers. Although this journal can not found in many popular journal databases (It is stated here http://lamp.infosys.deakin.edu.au/journals/index.php?page=alpha&alpha=G as being open access), I believe it is still valid, reliable and 'popular' enough to warrant it having its own page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcus Ball (talk • contribs)
- Hi, I'm sorry, but the few citations that you mention would not be enough to show notability of a single academic, let alone a whole journal. Neither is the fact that it is sold by online retainers relevant or the fact that it is perhaps OA. Please see WP:NJournals about what can make a journal notable. Failing that, there is WP:GNG, but in general that is even a higher hurdle for academic journals than NJournals... Of course, you are free to remove the PROD notice if you think this journal fulfills our notability criteria. I hope you don't, because it would save us all the time and effort that an AfD procedure would require. Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 17:14, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
