Silicon
editThe picture says silicon, but the description says germanium. I am not sure when the transition to silicon was made, relative to grown junction. Gah4 (talk) 21:28, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
speed
editThe article says only audio frequency, but the Regency TR-1 used them. With high enough voltage, the large depletion region reduces capacitance. That, and neutralization (negative feedback), is enough, it seems to get to AM radio frequencies. Gah4 (talk) 21:31, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Inventors
editShockley invented PN-junction transistor in 1948 [1] but NPN was the work of Teal and Sparks a bit later [2]. Shockley was part of press conference (and lead the group?) but was not inventor of the latter type? Ipr1 (talk) 16:04, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
