This is an Icelandic name, where the second word is a patronymic ("Son of Gunnar") rather than an inherited surname. Do we sort by the first name or last name? - Eastmain (talk • contribs)01:40, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
In case nobody realized the answer in the last ten years, you sort by the name. The name being, of course, Guðmundur. There is no other part to the name unless you force the patronymic to become the second or last name, which would be foolish and wrong. 2600:1700:EA01:1090:68B4:E40B:D02D:E270 (talk) 07:17, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
