use trans-title for Chinese language references

edit

It would aid the English language readers to add the parameter trans-title= to the many Chinese language references, followed by the title in English. It can be used in references set up with cite web, cite news, cite book, cite journal, preceded by a pipe like all others in those formats. Also, this article is not a stub; the trains group might take a second look. --Prairieplant (talk) 23:56, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Split articles

edit

I like the article as it is, with each section of the rail line discussed in turn. I see one section already has its own article, but what is included in that short article could as well be included here. That is my vote. --Prairieplant (talk) 00:00, 7 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merge Hong Kong Section of GSH Express Rail Link to GSH Express Rail Link. It is odd to single out a section of the railway and put it into an separate article. That article can not be comprehend without context. The rail only has one station in Hong Kong, it is be weird to put the two ends of the railway in two articles. Agreed - It will be so strange not to move the page and leave a standalone page for the HK section. Does anyone have objections? I will post it onto Portal:Trains to ask. I will move it in 24 hours in the absence of objections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 數神 (talkcontribs) 02:50, 4 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oppose merge as the Hong Kong Express Rail Link part of the line was particularly expensive and politically controversial, as it more easily connected Hong Kong with (the rest of) China. This seems reasonable to maintain in WP:SUMMARY format. Klbrain (talk) 05:37, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
