El EIN es el network del Grupo del PPE en el Parlamento Europeo. Cuenta con mas de 60 fundaciones repartidas principalmente en Europa y los Estados Unidos de América pero también en otros partes del mundo y alrededor de 2000 colaboradores provenientes de los distintos continentes.
Es la única red de ideas en la que trabajan conjuntamente legisladores, académicos, científicos, empresarios, etc.
Las actividades se realizan a traves de sus diferentes grupos de trabajo y task forces y culminan en un gran evento que se celebra todos los años en el mes de septiembre en una capital europea; The EIN Summer University, que congrega en torno a 400 personas y cuenta, con frecuencia, con la presencia de Primeros Mnistros, Jefes de Estado y altos cargos de las Instituciones Comunitarias (Presidente de la Comisión y del Parlamento Europeo).
