Gurjars were theif and dacoits
edit"Day and night Gujars commit dacoity [violent robbery] and rob wayfarers. At night thieves break into houses and carry away shopkeepers and other rich people as captives for ransom. " - by william dalrymple in The Anarchy page on Page 312 HistorianV (talk) 17:09, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

I would like have the following information added (to the "Pakistan" subheading under "Culture") stating that the "Chiefs of the Gujar, Runjha, Gunga and Burfat tribes, which are still to be found in Las Bela, are said to have exercised a semi-independent sway previous to the rise of the Aliani family of the Jamote tribe". The references (which will be linked below) include "A Collection of Treaties, Engagements and Sanads, Relating to India and Neighbouring Countries. (1909). India: Superintendent Government Printing, India" (page 202) and "1998 District Census Report of Lasbela. (1999). Pakistan: Population Census Organization, Statistics Division, Government of Pakistan." (page 9):
To the "Afghanistan" subheading under "Culture" I would also like for it to be added that during the Soviet-Afghan war "Gujar-led tribal militias were experienced in high-altitude mountain fighting". The reference is "Lockyer, A. (2017). Foreign Intervention, Warfare and Civil Wars: External Assistance and Belligerents' Choice of Strategy. United Kingdom: Taylor & Francis.":

Concerns Regarding Misinformation in the Gujjar Article
editI’ve noticed a significant inaccuracy in the article regarding the historical reference to "Gujarata Desh."
Issue: The article currently suggests that "Gujarata Desh," which is now known as Gujarat, was directly associated with the Gujjar community. This is incorrect. Historically, "Gujarata Desh" was a region that was referred to as the Kingdom of Gujarata. However, the article has inaccurately linked this term with the Gujjar community, which is misleading.
Clarification:
- "Gujarata Desh" was a geographical and political entity, and it is important to distinguish this from the Gujjar community.
- The term "Gujarata" originally referred to the region, and over time, this became the modern state of Gujarat.
I suggest that the article be revised to accurately reflect the historical context of "Gujarata Desh" without incorrectly associating it with the Gujjar community
Incorrect Claim Regarding Saharanpur:
The article mentions that Saharanpur was part of a "Gujjar Ghad," which is misleading. No credible historical evidence supports this claim. Saharanpur’s history is complex, but associating it exclusively with the Gujjar community without sufficient evidence is incorrect.
