Natural Lake or damned by the whalers?
editIs Gull Lake natural or was it created or enlarged by the whalers using a dam?
What is the altitude of the lake.
The whalers ran a small hydro generator in a small building down near the shore from the lake. I gather the lake is used as a water source by visiting ships which moor at Grytviken.

revisit naming to Gull Lake (South Georgia)
editLooking at the history of the page there was a move and revert when moving from Gull Lake, South Georgia to Gull Lake (South Georgia). I am proposing that Gull Lake (South Georgia) be considered as it follows the Wikiproject naming suggestion for disambiguation and by separating the lake name and location with parenthesis it provides a disambiguation from being a settlement. Please weigh in about the move below. Wolfgang8741 says: If not you, then who? (talk) 01:55, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
