his son, Carl Stoeckel, was a conductor to whom quite a few works, including Charles Stanford's 2nd piano concerto, were dedicated, and who commissioned along with his wife a number of symphonies etc. (and commissioned -maybe premiered, though it seems the composer did that? must check my sources...- with his orchestra Edgar Stillman Kelley's 2nd symphony op.33 in 1913.) 2604:6000:B484:AF00:7944:B534:5E46:5652 (talk) 14:42, 8 June 2020 (UTC) (Battell also comes up as Carl Stoeckel married Ellen Battell - "Mrs. Ellen Battell Stoeckel, who, with her husband, Carl Stoeckel, who died in 1925, was widely known as a patron of music" (New York Times, 1939/05/06 archive article, just for example)Reply
