Respectfully but these small elongated pictures don't look good in a traditional gallery. Looks weird. Hafspajen (talk) 16:21, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I disagree; In my opinion the galleries work much better than the stacked galleries. Primarily because when the images are stacked they run into each other and it is difficult to focus on the individual picture. By the way - my disagreement is not with you; and I don't want you to take it personally - it is the way our readers view imagery...Modernist (talk) 18:44, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I actually don't like packed galleries. But in this case - with so many thin, small and verical paintings - on my monitor - it looks like a bunch of verical lines - one can't see them properly. There is a picture nominated at FP that is not visible at all in the traditional way of using a gallery - not the way you use it. If you don't like the packed, why not - I don't understand really - because it was looking good - than the width has to be changed. Hafspajen (talk) 20:03, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, and now it is uneven. Hafspajen (talk) 20:12, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Even up. Hafspajen (talk) 20:20, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Good work! We agree about packed galleries...Modernist (talk) 20:36, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
I think packed galleries can be useful only if there are too many different pictures in sizes and forms in an artist's production - that it is very difficult to do a good looking gallery otherwise. Hafspajen (talk) 11:03, 9 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Adding More Content

edit

I will be adding more content onto this Wikipedia page. My two sources as of now are Gustave Moreau: Between Epic and Dream ISBN 0691007349 and Gustave Moreau: History Painting, Spirituality, and Symbolism ISBN 9780300204339. I plan to add more information on his style of art such his the influence the Italian Renaissance and exoticism had on him. In addition, I want to add content on his achievements as a history painter and his paintings against Germany. If you have any advice on my references or on my project in general please don't hesitate to respond. Clydetheglide9 (talk) 12:29, 16 February 2017 (UTC) @Alfgarciamora:Reply

This article's information is very neutral and does not attempt to persuade the audience in any way. The article has a good structure because it is easy to follow along and understand the information on the page. The only problem that I see with this article is the sources. I think that the sources are not very reliable. Several of the sources just contain pictures of the paintings. I think that additional research to find academic journals, or books about Gustave Moreau's life and paintings should be done. Besides that, the article is good and has a clear message.
