Fair use rationale for Image:Guts (John Cale album).jpg
editImage:Guts (John Cale album).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- Guts (album) → Guts (John Cale album)
- Guts (Joe McPhee and Peter Brötzmann album) → Guts (2007 album)
– RM opened for the second article. The article should be titled "Guts (Joe McPhee, Peter Brötzmann, Kent Kessler and Michael Zerang album)" but that's too long. The alternative copies The Dark Side of the Moon (2009 album). © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 02:47, 11 March 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. bd2412 T 22:34, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

- This isn't a reason. (McPhee, Brötzmann, Kessler & Zerang album) is perfectly CONCISE for a Joe McPhee and Peter Brötzmann album. @Netoholic: I can't believe you just agreed with this, you're one of reliable editors that keeps RM reasonably sane. Is there any precedent for this kind of dab for no reason other than 2 artists? In ictu oculi (talk) 13:57, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- The Dark Side of the Moon (2009 album), I would have requested the full names, but that RM settled a precedent. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 14:37, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- I don't know that it set a precedent as such, rather it seemed to resolve an unusual situation. Not sure how relevant it is here. PC78 (talk) 17:49, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

- Support both per WP:INCDAB on the first one, and redirect (album) to the DAB page. On the second one, while we could shorten to just use last names, and WP:NCALBUM does say
if an album was released by several people, and it may compromise readability, use another shorter method of disambiguation
, using the year is just far more WP:CONCISE with no loss of precision. "Several" generally means more than two. -- Netoholic @ 09:50, 11 March 2019 (UTC) - Support first as an incomplete dab. Unsure about the second, I don't think length is a problem here but the fact that the current title willfully ignores two of the four named artists is. Guts (McPhee, Brötzmann, Kessler & Zerang album) would be fine IMO, as the artists are credited by their surnames only on the album cover. PC78 (talk) 11:00, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- Wouldn't it be Guts (McPhee, Brötzmann, Kessler, and Zerang album)? WP:AMPERSAND tells us not to insert "&", and WP:SERIALCOMMA clarifies that this is four individuals, not two individuals and a band named "Kessler & Zerang". I think this is most why I think we should make use of the "several" clause in WP:ALBUMDAB and simplify to (2007 album). -- Netoholic @ 17:15, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- If an ampersand is undesirable then by all means, an extra two characters won't make this a dealbreaker. I'm not sure I see a need to invoke that clause in the guideline, I don't think the title is confusing or unreadable, and in terms of length it's comparable to the examples given. But I don't mind much where the consensus ends up. PC78 (talk) 17:49, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

- Support 1st move (per nom / per above - incomplete disambiguation), neutral on 2nd. Paintspot Infez (talk) 19:02, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- Support first move, would prefer Guts (McPhee, Brötzmann, Kessler, and Zerang album) for the second. Doctorhawkes (talk) 23:56, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- Support 1st move as a PDAB, no comment on 2nd. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:05, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
