Notability
editGuy Allen meets notability per WP:NRODEO
1. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association holds its finals, the National Finals Rodeo at the end of every year and elects champions in each of its event. Guy Allen is an 18 time World Steer Roping Champion, so per this guideline he meets the definition.[1]
2. The ProRodeo Hall of Fame has inducted Guy Allen into its hall of fame on 1996.[2]
3. In the Honors section, he's actually in seven halls of fame to date.
Reference being moved to Further reading
editAlex Shih (talk · contribs) That reference you just moved (ProRodeo Records and Stats (PDF). Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. 2017. Retrieved January 21, 2018.) to Further reading is part of a book reference that goes with PRCA Awards, p. 613-615. Perhaps it should go in a Notes, Source, or Bibiography sub-section under References instead. That's how I have those references in other articles. It's the source (book citation) for his two horses' notability. My bad, I would appreciate your experienced advice. Also, see for List of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Champions for proper uses. Thank you! dawnleelynn(talk) 17:44, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Dawnleelynn: Thanks, I wasn't really sure what would be the appropriate sub-section title, but "source" looks the best to me. I'll change it to "source" instead under "references", but please feel free to correct it to another better title (I just thought it needed formatting as the link looked misplaced being put together with inline citations). Cheers, Alex Shih (talk) 17:53, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Alex Shih:Yes, the link did look misplaced. I didn't put a heading like I normally do. What you did looks great. Thanks! And I learned a new tag today. The reply tag is new to me, and I really like it! Thanks for catching my mistake.dawnleelynn(talk) 18:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
