This presumably came from the Beetham book, which on pages 7 and 34 attributes this quote to him, citing "Daily Telegraph (6 October 1966)". I went to go remove the Template:Title missing tag, but as far as I can tell, the relevant Daily Telegraph article[1] does not actually contain any such quote.
