Posthumously authorized
editWhat does it mean: "posthumously authorized"?? malatesta 00:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
I deleted the "posthumously authorized" phrase as it is obviously nonsensical to suppose that anyone can authorise something after they have died. --IC —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.107.166.204 (talk) 20:58, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Also an integralist and eugenicist
editIn 1930 decade, this communist was also an eugenicist and integralist. Agre22 (talk) 18:41, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Agre22
"This Communist"? Do you have ANY proof of that whatsoever, or are you simply illustrating the archbishop's point about the slurs flung at those who ask why the poor have no food? Ken Burch(talk) 20:19 pm, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Spiral of Violence as a nonviolence work
editAs I'm cleaning up the links at Nonviolence#See also, I am also removing the link to Spiral of Violence, which is currently a redirect to this page. If that were a separate page, it might make sense adding it to category:Peace and conflict studies. — Sebastian 20:12, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Archepiscopate dates?

Massimo Introvigne as RS
editI do not consider Massimo Introvigne a reliable source. [[1]]. Here is a link to a website linking Introvigne to a cult whose founder is notorious for slandering Dom Helder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.180.135.66 (talk) 18:19, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- If Introvigne is associated with the Tradition Family Property movement, whose criticism of the Brazilian hierarchy and Hélder Câmara is well known, then he is certainly not an unbiased source for reporting on Hélder Câmara. The problem, however, is the reliability of the web page asserting linkage between Introvigne and TFP; it looks like a page advancing a point of view in an ongoing dispute. I'd question using it as a source to impugn Introvigne's credentials. Is there any other reliable source about Introvigne? --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 18:54, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Linked Massimo Introvigne's wiki. He is undisputedly a member of Alleanza Cattolica. --50.180.135.66 (talk) 4:39, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- OK, I looked at the source cited (thanks to Google translate) and it is a highly critical review of Helder Camara's Roma, due del mattino. Lettere dal Concilio Vaticano II. The review is tendentious but at times it offers quotations from Helder Camara's text that describe his own opinions. These seem adequately supported so I have restored an edited version of the passage you find objectionable. --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 17:17, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Did some more digging and found that Camara's letters from the council are now available on Kindle for a few dollars per volume. Clearly a valuable primary source for someone who knows Portuguese and wants to check out quotations from him. --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 18:22, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
