Penis Day Reference

For the last time, "Penis Day" is not an official nickname. SO WHAT if the name appears in an internet article? I have also heard and seen the festival referred to as "The Ball Fest", the "Meat Meet", the "Twosome Tango", and "Long Johnson's Festival"... but do we need to see these innapropriate nicknames appear on a dignified article some people draw legitimate information from? Cleanup

In reading an online article on the subject, it is turists that refer to this celebration as "penis festival". Hardly encyclopedic, IMO. ≈ jossi ≈ t • @ 19:32, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

• May I suggest using your brain and perhaps writing it in a clear, valid way? For instance, "to foreigners, it is sometimes called..." Really, it's not that hard to reach an agreement if you can think past your own nose.

I have lived in Japan, attended the festival, and can attest that it is not called the "Penis Festival". It is not an "unnoficial nickname" of the festival. Traveler111 12:41, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

When is it really?

I saw on the German version of this article (and other sources), that the festival happens on the Sunday preceding March 15 - not on March 15 as stated in the current version of this article. I only found non-authoritative sources on the web that I could read and they were not consistent at all ranging from on March 15 to closest Sunday to March 15. 212.51.138.149 (talk) 14:13, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
