Talk:H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds (2005 film)/Archive 1

Hey, hope no one minds, but I scrapped an image on here. It wasn't exactly War Of The Worlds related... being a picture of some guy's exposed posterior end, if you catch my drift... don't know why though.

--That would be the angry IMDB'ers, most likely. There is a sub-cult that is thirsty for Hines's blood. -M.B.

I did massive work on the article. I didn't put entirely a lot of focus on some of the controversy details and the criticism since I never fully followed those things, so they may need to be expanded, or even tweaked. --Bacteria 17:32, 20 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Paramount did threaten

edit

"The odd thing was that while Paramount was threatening litigation with us, they were telling the media and industry insiders that they had had no contact with us," Hines said. "But they were caught with a smoking gun by Susanne Ault at Variety Business News. She asked Paramount about lawsuits or legal threats against us and Paramount denied any contact with us. Then Ms. Ault produced threat letters to us from Paramount's attorneys and Paramount answered, 'No comment,' and refused to talk with her further."

Can anyone find this Susanne Ault article? Furious Stormrage

Looks like two links are there for War of the world's movie which go to different pages

Overlaps with H. G. Wells' War of the Worlds (2005 film), should be combined somehow.

I keep seeing people try and redirect only to revert their mistake. The two articles are about two entirely different films. Yes, it's confusing that they share a nearly dead-on title, but it's not like this is the only time this has happened. A combination wouldn't work as the film's are too different (one's a period piece and the other a modern setting), and there would be no reason outside of the similar titles to combine articles on different films. --Bacteria 09:48, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalistic move

edit

I noticed that this talk page was recently moved to Talk:H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds (2005 film) is shit. I've never tried to revert a move, and I think I might have screwed up things a bit as the article's talk page now directs to here, but unforunately, in my several attempts, the history to this talk page has been left behind with the other. Hopefully an administrator can fix this. Again, sorry about this; I suppose that I thought the fix would be a lot easier than it turned out. --Bacteria 09:48, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
