Move this page to HAT-P-36 now
editThe star is not widely refered as Tuiren and more commonly as HAT-P-36.
- I would agree with you, but your approach to renaming the article is not correct, so I have reverted it. If you don't have sufficient permissions to rename it properly yourself ("move" in the more menu or similar, depending on your theme) and you almost certainly don't now that the redirect has been edited, then you should start a move discussion. Once complete, assuming there is a consensus to move, it will happen as if by magic (or by the hard work of various people behind the scenes). See WP:RM for details. - I didn't notice that I was able to move the pages, and the request to move is uncontrovrsial.
- If you found the move command you can try it but I doubt it will work now because the redirect that would be overwritten has history, even if the history is fairly trivial. This wouldn't qualify as an uncontroversial move. "Uncontroversial" in this context applies mostly to typos and style issues rather than picking one of two possible valid names. Even though I agree with your preferred name, I would object to it being performed as an uncontroversial move. Moving it yourself qualifies as WP:BOLD and is easy for people to revert if they object and want to see some discussion. Don't get into an WP:EDITWAR if this happens, just present your case, probably in a formal move request. Lithopsian (talk) 12:17, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Tuiren (star) → HAT-P-36 – Formalizing the above move proposal. As with other stars named through NameExoWorlds, this star is more commonly referred to by its catalog designation. SevenSpheresCelestia (talk) 00:14, 26 August 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 03:15, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
- Support, per WP:COMMONNAME, despite the commonly-used name being a mangled group of letters and numbers. The only mention I can find for "Tuiren" in published literature is from the IAU naming group itself. There are a few web mentions, but they could well all be copying from WP.
