Overhaul

edit

I did a bit of a major overhaul to the article, added the sidebar (still in the process of putting info into it though)

After the side bar is done, i might add it to the rest of the Collins class sub articles, and then work on the main area--Nirvana- 16:25, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Main Article

edit

I have added in 'Notable references' which so far only outlines the appearance of Rankin in the DVD Submariners, other references that could be considered notable that come to mind are either exercise related, or news related, and i was thinking of having any news related references under 'criticisms' (because lets face it, they are always criticisms lol), and any exercise related references in a seperate section (as Rankin has done very well in at least 2 exercises and i think it warrants a seperate section)--Nirvana- 13:06, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

Could someone possibly check the info in the side bar is accurate, there seems to a huge discrepancy between specs on the RAN site, the submarinesaustralia site, and naval technology site, i'm not sure if its just differences in the names of hardware or what, but there could be a few things slightly incorrect. I got the engine specs off the RAN site, and the rest of the specs from the Naval-technology site--Nirvana- 13:06, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use vs. free license image

edit

Free license images are far preferred over non-free license images. Thus, I have replaced Image:HMAS Rankin 1.jpg with Image:HMAS Rankin SSK-78.jpg. --Durin 18:13, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bnaval-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist

If you would like me to provide more information on the talk page, contact User:Cyberpower678 and ask him to program me with more info.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 19:38, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
