Honours

- In the RN and RCN, battle honours belong to the ship name, not to the hull. So when a new ship is commissioned, it gains the battle honours of all its predecessors of the same name. The modern RCN has discontinued the practice of reviving battle honours of British ships (with a grandfather clause), but it was the practice in the era of this ship. Merge proposal (2016)
editI propose that this page be merged into HMS Uganda (66) as the ship spent very little of its life under this name and the content on this page is essentially duplicating that on the Uganda page. Not only did the ship spend little of its life under this title, most of its significant events in Canadian service were under the original name. Llammakey (talk) 10:42, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
