1. Well-written:
	1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.	You could dispense with "In actual fact" Done. What was the effect of being "over-stiff"? Reworded. Were aged of sail ships commissioned by their captains? Or under them? Or something else? Seems strange wording to me. I've moved to "under", but have seen both used pretty interchangeably What sort of dollars? Spanish dollars? Perhaps link if so. What was the value in smuggling dollars anyway? For the silver? Perhaps mention that? Unfortunately the source provides no more detail. Reading between the lines, I think they were taking it up to Macao where it had a higher value. OK, All good. 	1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.	same comment regarding dollars as above See above "would be sent home" this makes the sentence imply this was conditional. In an encyclopaedia article, we know the outcome was definite (ie it was sent home and did go home), so it should be rendered as "that she was sent home" Done. also worth stating that William Henry Dillon was the captain of an accompanying naval ship Done. 2. Verifiable with no original research:
	2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.	Why is it described as a 36-gun 18-pounder frigate when some of the 36 guns weren't 18-pounders and the number of 18-pounder guns doesn't add up to 36? The 18-pounders are the guns that make up the ship's broadside; it was very common for ships, especially frigates, to be described/compared based on what their main battery was. The number of guns doesn't add up for a variety of reasons, including that for a long while the Royal Navy refused to include carronades in their counts of guns. Despite this, the class is widely recorded as 36 gunners in the period of Alpheus's career. That the frigate was fifth rate is in the infobox, but not mentioned or cited anywhere in the article. The infobox is cited though (!). Added to main text as well. The exact date of keel laying given in the infobox isn't provided or cited in the body. "The frigate was laid down in July the following year" I'm not totally au fait with the dimensions of age of sail vessels, but why is there "depth of hold" in the infobox and "depth in the hold" in the body, and the measurements vary between the body and infobox? All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).	absolutely no compulsion to do this, but you could reorder the cites like "again stationed at Manila.[14][15][12]" so they are in numerical order, unless the information being cited is drawn from those sources in that order (in which case I recommend cited more closely). The order of citations never crosses my mind when writing, but I'm always happy to change it.
	2c. it contains no original research.
	2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism.
3. Broad in its coverage:
	3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.
	3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).

Is that William Rule's signature on the plan? Looks like it to me. In which case, we know he died prior to 29 February 1816 when his will was read. Likewise, the other signature looks like Henry Peake, again we know he died in 1825. If you add the author info to the image page, this should then be fine. Added names. Fine now.
