Did not have 6 inch guns in casemates?

edit

The text states this class did not have its 6-inch guns in casemates. But the photos show what looks to me like 6-inch guns in casemates along the side. ?? Rcbutcher (talk) 02:30, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I will review this one, comments to follow in due course. Zawed (talk) 07:10, 9 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Lead

  • OK, no issues identified

Infobox

  • Formatting issue here: Barbettes: 12&nbspin
    • Good catch

Design

  • Beam dimension doesn't match infobox
    • Must've been a typo
  • The armour thickness dimensions include conversions to mm although the infobox conversions are to cm
    • Fixed

Service history

  • "subsequently participated in a blockade by an international force of Montenegro and in an occupation of Scutari to force the Macedonians to relinquish the city to the newly-formed Albania"; suggest "subsequently participated, as part of an international force, in a blockade of Montenegro..." for clarity
    • Works for me

Notes/References/Further reading

  • No oclc for Jellicoe?
    • Added
  • Most of the book citations format for further reading don't match the references. specifically date of publication presentation. Also no isbn for Gibbons
    • Have updated these.

Other stuff

  • Image tags look OK
  • One dupe link: destroyer (see final section)
    • Fixed
  • No dablinks
  • External links check out OK although in the external links section it says one is broken. That one works fine for me.
    • Works for me too - I'll remove the note

Will check back in a few days. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 01:12, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Zawed. Parsecboy (talk) 15:36, 14 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Looks good Parsecboy. I just notice the isbns are formatted inconsistency but won't hold up passing this as GA for that. You will want to get it sorted before going to ACR though. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 08:11, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I'll get to those too. Parsecboy (talk) 12:35, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

New Brighton

edit

The caption for the photo passing New Brighton says it's in Canada, but it's clearly of New Brighton on the Mersey. What's the best way to word the caption. Merseyside doesn't sound right for the era. Maybe just 'New Brighton, River Mersey'? BPMullins | Talk 03:08, 15 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Huh - that's what you get for following the caption from the archive. One wonders how they confused a small, unincorporated settlement in BC for a fairly large metro area. And that tower is fairly recognizable. Parsecboy (talk) 14:24, 15 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
