Requested move
editThe discussion for this move will take place on Category talk:Bogue class aircraft carriers because it affects many Bogue-class aircraft carriers which were transferred to the Royal Navy upon completion and never saw USN service. TomTheHand 18:36, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Power train
editAmongst other copyedits, I've changed the power transmission bit: i.e. " Propulsion was provided by two boilers connected to a steam turbine, which in turn drove one shaft", because it originally said something like: " Propulsion was provided by two boilers connected to a shaft".
I'm no expert, but it sounds rather peculiar to have "two boilers connected to a shaft". If its wrong, please correct, but don't just revert as all the other copyedits will be lost.
Pictures
editI have pictures by my father William Sommerville who was a stoker on LCT 1150 attached to the Ranee during ww2. It includes a picture of the ships company and demob with interesting photos along the way. It would be nice to add them. He also put some notes on the back of the photos.
