Oscar Parkes' reference work British Battleships claims that the infobox photo shows HMS Enterprise (1864), a near sister-ship of HMS Research, and his photo caption points out a couple of features unique to Enterprise: "The different arrangement for securing fore-and-aft fire from the battery can be seen, and the narrow belt just showing above the waterline."
