HMS SHEFFIELD
editThe information on this page is incorrect. HMS Sheffield sunk on the 4th May 1982 after being hit on the 2nd May 1982 at 11.09AM GMT. This information that I have given is from personnel(my husband) that was in the Falkands at the time. He relives this incident every day since being back as do all the service personnel that was there! Winniewotknot (talk) 11:27, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
- That must be truly terrible for him, and for you. I can only imagine how awful it is, and you have my genuine sympathy. However, extensive coverage by sources such as BBC News[1] and The Telegraph[2] state that the Sheffield was struck on 4 May and sank under tow on 10 May. The General Belgrano was sunk on 2 May: is there any possibility that your husband is mistaking these two dates? ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 17:47, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
