@GinAndChronically: this refers to the Federation of Australia, when the various colonies of the Australian continent were combined as one nation. One of the flow-on effects was that various colony-operated entities (like warships) were amalgamated into new national bodies. -- saberwyn10:57, 22 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
I had a feeling that is what it meant but not being first hand with that portion of time did not want to speculate. I thought that there had to be some type of link.
