NASA/AMES NAS did use Condor, but it has not used Condor for years.

Some collaborators of the CMS project at LHC are using Condor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.101.220.235 (talk) 15:29, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

edit
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move as of yet. Rough consensus that this is premature; this may need to be brought back up when sources with the new name start appearing. Cúchullain t/c 17:46, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Condor High-Throughput Computing SystemHTCondor High-Throughput Computing System – In order to resolve a lawsuit challenging the University of Wisconsin-Madison's use of the "Condor" trademark, the University has agreed to begin referring to its Condor software as "HTCondor". Starting in the end of October and through November of this year, you will begin to see this change reflected on our web site, documentation, web URLs, email lists, and wiki. See https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/archive/htcondor-users/2012-October/msg00110.shtml for the announcement. Relisted. • Oppose I am going to oppose, for now, on the basis that the old title is still more notable than the new title. I believe that will change in the future. Currently, HTCondor produces very little in terms of reliable sources; no google news and or google book hits. Whereas the current title does produce some reliables sources.[1]. I do suspect that this will change in the future but not yet.--Labattblueboy (talk) 19:39, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Rename to HTCondor. We generally follow the official name for software products (which according to their website seems to have been changed already) and don't necessarily wait for secondary sources to catch up after a rename (if we can reasonably expect them to do so eventually.) The disambiguation tag "high-throughput computing system" doens't seem to be part of the official name and there is no need for disambiguation with the new name. —Ruud 22:30, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
