Etymology
editWhat does Hacrobia mean? I don't like when people come up with names that are meaningless. --kupirijo (talk) 12:32, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- The paper introducing that term gives an etymology, but I wouldn't equate etymology with meaning (see etymological fallacy). Kingdon (talk) 07:28, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean? They just named the group. It is not that 1000 years have passed since its naming! Can you please tell me what is the etymology of the word? --kupirijo (talk) 10:03, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I've added it. --Arcadian (talk) 13:25, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- No objection to Arcadian's edit, so I guess it is a moot point, but I meant that it is named after two of the included groups, but the name says nothing about what other groups might be included. Kingdon (talk) 01:17, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Rappephyceae
editRappephyceae already belongs to Haptista. Thus, I removed it. Alfa-ketosav (talk) 10:13, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
