I am re-adding the primarysources tag, because all the references cited in the article are invalid - they are not independent of the school itself and therefore not reliable. I'm sure there have been more than one major newspaper/magazine feature on Hagley over the years - it is a rather unique school. The article should also cover more of its history, being one of the oldest High schools in Christchurch. (I'm trying to remember its original name - Christchurch West High school? I think "technical" appeared in its name at some point too. dramatic (talk) 08:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why didn't I check first - Wikipedia already has an article (albeit a rather poor one) on Hagley's predecessor: Christchurch West High School dramatic (talk) 08:14, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmmmf, I know I can't use the OTHERSTUFFEXISTS argument but Hagley is a major school in the Christchurch area. Bactoid (talk) 23:15, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, and it is particularly notable among new Zeland secondary schools due to its special character, e.g. having almost 50% adult students. Once we source independent references it should be straightforward. dramatic (talk) 01:07, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Interesting as the renamed Hagley College was granted "special character" status just today! Dpak74 (talk) 03:21, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Here's a good source how the adult education came about. Schwede66 22:43, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
