edit

There are multiple areas that are lacking citations and I believe this article could use a bit of updating. This will be taken to GAR if not resolved. Noah, AATalk 02:04, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

References can be fixed or content unreferenced removed. Belief is not exactly a reason to question an encyclopedia topic. What do you think needs updating? You must have specific examples in mind. Thegreatdr (talk) 22:24, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Specific things I thought of were:
  1. Visible satellite imagery is beginning to be used to detect hail, but false alarm rates remain high using this method Is this still the case?
  2. But these effects have not been replicated in randomized trials conducted in the West Ditto here
  3. Hail suppression programs have been undertaken by 15 countries between 1965 and 2005. Have any additional countries undertaken efforts since 2005?

In case anyone else is wondering what GAR is. DoctorMatt (talk) 01:06, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Someone please correct.

The NWS Severe Thunderstorm Warning criteria for hail is 1 inch (2.55 cm); NOT 0.98 inches (2.5 cm)!! 2601:5C5:4380:FD80:E148:901D:C44F:8BDD (talk) 21:18, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - I made the change. Cheers! DoctorMatt (talk) 21:45, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
