Why reverting the redirection?
editBeyond My Ken reverted all my edits, which included moving the page, spelling consistency and pronunciation, without even given a reason! The name حلايب is written in the most official Arabic texts without any glottal stops ħ-l-ā-y-b. Where do you get that ħ-l-ā-ʔ-b pronunciation or spelling? Additionally, it's much cleaner to spell words in English without apostrophes since they don't even refer to any omitted sounds. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 12:24, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
- The name as given is the name as it is known in English. It is irrelvant what it is known as in other languages. This in English Wikipedia, and we use the WP:COMMONNAME as it is known in English. You are free to list the area under whatever name is appropriate on other language Wikipediaa, but this is where is stays on this Wikipedia. Beyond My Ken (talk) 12:56, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
What was wrong with adding an IPA notation for the native pronunciation?
editAgain, Beyond My Ken made another revert, removing the pronunciation in IPA which I added, without any reason, acting as if he owns the article! --Mahmudmasri (talk) 21:04, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you did more than simply add the IPA pronuciation, you removed information with no explanation, in a way that seemed to indicate ethnic or nationalist bias. I suggest you outline here exactly what changes you propose to make, and why they are necessary. Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:27, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- PS, it's not a good idea to use "<small>" in your sig, since it makes it hard to read, but if you do, make sure to close it with "</small>". Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:30, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: closed as redundant to Talk:Hala'ib Triangle#Requested move 28 August 2018. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:05, 28 August 2018 (UTC) Hala'ib → Halayeb – It's spelled Halayeb. Hala'ib is an exceptional spelling, I gotta say the first time I saw it spelled "Hala'ib" was only on Wikipedia. References:
