GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

I am willing to put the review on hold, but there is still a bit of work to do

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

  • "These remixes of the song are called..." - not needed in lead   Done
  • "charting in countries that included...among other countries" - a bit doubled up   Done
  • You probably don't need to mention the specifics of live performances in the lead   Done
I have seen many good articles, such as: U Smile and Poker Face, that include specifics of the artist's live performances in the lead. Rp0211 (talk2me) 22:27, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
That's true, but the live performances sections in those articles are far more comprehensive than the one here. Adabow (talk · contribs) 23:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Now fixed. Rp0211 (talk2me) 00:08, 18 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • If you're going to imply words in a quote, try to use something more formal than 'to do'. Remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia.   Done
  • Can you find some more professional reviews? Try searching for reviews for Smoke and Mirrors, and see if there are any comments on "Halfway Gone".   Done
  • "resulted in 'a fresh sound for Lifehouse as the band aims to extend its run on the hot AC and Billboard Hot 100 charts.'" - explain this quote; what are these charts? Provide links, maybe?   Done
  • The second paragraph of 'Chart performance' needs wikifying   Done
  • Do the screenshots of the video really add anything to the article?   Not sure
The screenshots show an example of how people appear out of nowhere throughout the music video. Rp0211 (talk2me) 22:43, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • The 'Remixes' section needs a re-write: obviously Wade wrote all the remixes; this is not needed. Instead, just mention the release, names of mixers, and critical response.   Done
Not done, actually. Remove Wade's writing credits in the prose and mention the mixers. Morgan Page and Fred Falke are notable, so link to them. Adabow (talk · contribs) 23:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is now done because I fixed the prose and included the mixers of the songs. Rp0211 (talk2me) 00:06, 18 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Some references aren't very reliable such as lifehousemusic.com. Try to find alternatives.   Not sure
Lifehousemusic.com is the official website for Lifehouse and is off of the Geffen Records website.
  • The references' formats are looking much better, but please run through them again; only publications in print (ie newspapers, magazines) should be italicised.   Done
  • Have a look at some FAs like "4 Minutes" (Madonna song) and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to get a good idea of these things   Done
  • WP:SAMPLE states that a music sample should be less than 10% of the original recording, and of a quality of about 64kbps; therefore File:Halfwaygone.ogg needs some work   Done

OK I feel confident enough to now pass the article, but please keep searching for more sources in the future, and expand the article. Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:09, 18 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
