1) This utterly unique Name, at least in the US. She was born Helena. No explanation is offered of her becoming "Halka." Nor commentary on the Chronic last name. Just that I never met or read of another one.
2) Roadside Geology. Among the general or traveling public, her main (only?) claim to being known is her Roadside Geology series, but all the article can tell us is something that is surely factually incorrect, since it makes it sound like she took one trip and wrote the roadside geology of Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico in one fell swoop.
