I'll be taking this one. I know you're on vacation and stuff, but I figured you'd still appreciate the review. :) --Starstriker7 - public(talk) 05:15, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Criterion 1

edit

Lead

edit
  • "it only caused smaller damage to the tunnel itself." --> caused minor damage?

History

edit
  • "Two of the houses and an assembly building built by the railway have been preserved." - I found the part of the paragraph relating to this sentence kind of unclear. It comes right after a list of similar stations, so is this portion of the paragraph even relevant to Hallingskeid Station itself? If so, make its relevance more clear.
  • "In 1914–15, the station had 398 passenger, and in 1919–20, it had 684 passengers," - "the station serviced 398 passengers" and "it serviced 684 passengers"?
  • "but it was quickly put out by the staff." --> it was quickly put out by the staff.
1960 fire
edit
  • "The line opened on 4 October" - The line re-opened on 4 October?
2011 fire
edit
  • " have to be flown in." --> have to be transported to the area by air? (A suggestion to get rid of the hanging preposition at the end)
  • "closure of the Bergen Line[14][15]," - Is the comma supposed to go before the references? (I'm asking because I'm not sure)
  • " evening on June 23.[16]. " - Remove the second period after the ref.
  • Involving the concerns about fire hazards in fire stations, you were kind of vague. Can you elaborate on what kinds of concerns were raised, and (if possible) how they were addressed?

Facilities and service

edit
  • "operated by the state raiwlays," - Yeah. :P

Criterion 2

edit
  • Reference 12 is a dead link. I don't think this will keep the article from GA, but thought I'd let you know.
  • Reference 14 discusses (according to Google Translate's skills) a bunch of schoolchildren left their belongings on the train before the train caught aflame, and they lost expensive school resources in the process. It is possibly worth adding.

Criterion 3

edit

Looks fine.

Criterion 4

edit

Looks neutral.

Criterion 5

edit

Edit history checks out.

Criterion 6

edit
  • No free-use images are present, and all images check out. The only possible issue I have is in the caption of the photo in the infobox. I'd remove the "now" and say that the image is of the station when it was burned down in the 2011 fire.

Overall comments

edit

Not bad at all. Only a few issues with grammar/spelling and with semantics, as well as a dead link and quite a few suggestions. I'll put this on hold, and you can get to this whenever you get back from vacation. --Starstriker7 - public(talk) 06:09, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

All has been seen to. I've also added some more recent news items about the rescue operation and how the fire started. Arsenikk (talk) 18:41, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Looks good. I'll pass this momentarily. --Starstriker7 - public(talk) 23:52, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
