Hi, I'm afraid there is an error with the photos accompanying this article - the two pictures are of Thirlwall castle, not Haltwhistle Castle. Thirlwall castle is about 5 miles from Haltwhistle. I don't believe there are any standing remains of Haltwhistle Castle. Steve rozario (talk) 20:16, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
I removed page vandalism that stated the castle was made of earth, timber, silver, gold etc and inhabited by prostitutes. Oh how my sides ached from the laughter. Pumpetypump (talk) 12:03, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
