this article is awful who can update this page, with some more useful info?
I've done some rewriting, though it was more of a reorganization than anything else. I'll let someone else decide if cleanup is complete. --EazieCheeze 21:42, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Can anyone get and demographics or something on here?
A Landmark?
editWhy is this in the North Alabama Landmarks category? Hampton Cove is many things, but I've never heard it considered to be a landmark of any sort before. Even if you consider it to be a Wikipedia-noteworthy suburban area, that doesn't make it a landmark. --Anivron 03:18, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- I removed the landmark designations. JodyB 21:59, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

editGoldsmith-Schiffman is on the west side of US 431, while Hampton Cove is exclusively on the east side of US 431.
There are a considerable number of "competing" subdivisions on the west side of 431 that have sprung up after Hampton Cove began development in 1992.
Colloquial terminology references everything geographically nearby as "Hampton Cove" despite there being a fixed boundary lines to what is considered Hampton Cove.
In the Hampton Cove Homeowner's Association protective covenants [1], section 19, the HCOA lays claim to the term "Hampton Cove."
I can't find any online citations, but anecdotally, the HCOA HAS taken legal action to challenge the use of the term Hampton Cove by nearby businesses.
