Notability
editThis theater group is not 'non-notable'. A front-page, multi-photograph, color cover issue of Portland Mercury wrote about the group. Hand2Mouth theater are probably the only theater group to ever appear on the FRONT COVER of a weekly newspaper in the history of Portland, Oregon. Hand2Mouth have performed/toured in Mexico and Poland, and internationally-known venues and festivals. Wikipedia has articles for popular music (rock, techno, hiphop, etc) that have had far smaller venue audiences, and less international outreach--it doesn't make sense that they be considered "non-notable" compared to so many artist organizations on wikipedia!! They are an established 501.3c nonprofit organization on public record. Djbrokenwindow (talk) 04:42, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- In general, see WP:OTHERSTUFF as to some of your arguments, and as to non-profit status, that has nothing to do with what notability is on Wikipedia. Read Wikipedia's notability guideline to see how you can make this article demonstrate the group is notable by Wikipedia's standards. Basically, use Wikipedia defined reliable sources from independent groups that have coverage of the group with some depth. For instance the cover you speak of would show depth, the paper is independent of the group, and the paper is generally considered a reliable source. Sources not meeting this standard would be say the group's website as not independent, or a calendar listing for an upcoming performance in Willamette Week as not being substantial coverage.
