Washington, DC hand dance
editThere should be some mention of Washington DC's hand dancing (1950s onward), which is related to but distinct from hand jiving.

A "hand jive" is also used in wildland firefighting to pull long runs of hose around obstacles and terrain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.87.182.246 (talk) 13:00, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Hand jive. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20060821201028/http://www.ericclaptonfaq.com:80/songs/top-forty-singles-top-40-hits.html to http://www.ericclaptonfaq.com/songs/top-forty-singles-top-40-hits.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

How to do it
editI'm aware that Wikipedia is not supposed to be an instruction manual; and it's obvious that the moves are a bit complicated. But they're not that complicated. We could say a bit more than just that they're complicated.
And maybe we could provide a link to an instruction manual, or similar?
This used to be an incredibly popular way of grooving to music, all the way into the late sixties; there's no mention of the fact that the hand jive was frequently performed by 'dancers' who were seated - such as the panelists on Juke Box Jury.
So I think this article is a bit thin - perhaps even a stub. MrDemeanour (talk) 17:22, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
