Primary topic
editThere is no indication that the Montgomery person would be the primary topic, so the dab page should rest at the base name. If the Montgomery person's article is undeleted and moved into mainspace at a disambiguated title, it would then be possible for someone to propose, for discussion, a move of his article and the dab page. But for now the dab page needs to be at the base name. PamD 16:31, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- In 2014, when the page was first created, the U.S. author activist and politician was the primary topic. I refer you to: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hans Riemer. I have just started this discussion, Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2019 November 12 to bring the article back. At which point it will be the primary topic. I would appreciate it if you could leave this in place till then. --evrik (talk) 16:38, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- The choice of primary topic 5 years ago is irrelevant, especially as the article was then deleted. If you turn this dab page into a redirect it leaves no way to find the Austrian. Leave the dab page for now. If you get the article on the Montgomery man undeleted or re-created, at a disambiguated title, there would then be scope later to propose a move (ie a change of title). But for now the dab page must be at the basic name (or alternatively the Austrian goes at the base name with a hatnote directing to the Montgomery council). PamD 16:41, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- You say "at which point it will be the primary topic". Why? Is there any evidence that readers of an international encyclopedia will be much more likely to look for this person than for a senior Austrian politician? Wait to make a proper discussion later. PamD 16:43, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- The point may now be moot as the article was recreated as: Hans Riemer (Maryland politician). --evrik (talk) 18:40, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
