Hapoel Be'er Sheva F.C.Hapoel Beersheba F.C. — Just like Beitar Yerushalayim is Beitar Jerusalem in English, and Hapoel Akko is Hapoel Acre in English, Be'er Sheva is Beersheba in English —NYC2TLV 09:21, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose Just like the cases of S.S.C. Napoli and Torino F.C., a football club's name does not have to follow the English name for the city. The club is widely known in the english speaking world as Hapoel Be'er Sheva. If anything the article for the city should be moved to Be'er Sheva as Beersheba is really an English biblical name, whereas Be'er Sheva is the current (and most common) usage. • Comment I did a little research and find that actually the club's name in English is indeed Hapoel Beersheba. That is the name they used when they played FC Barcelona and the name that is used in the Jerusalem Post, an Israeli English language newspaper? -NYC2TLV 03:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • If you compare the two on the main three English language new sources in Israel (Haaretz, the Jerusalem Post and Ynetnews) you get 59 for Hapoel Be'er Sheva and 8 for Hapoel Beersheba. Number 57 10:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Support I agree that this article should be moved. The club has played in Europe under the title Hapoel Beersheba. -SpeechFreedom 08:44, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The logo was raised as part of fair use and the club also serves the Hebrew Wikipedia (see: Wikipedia in Hebrew). File Uploader guidelines and explanations of Wikipedia.

This article was clearly written by someone for whom English is not their first language, and needs a thorough revision. Just looking at the lead section, these phrases need replacing:

it is run by businesswoman Alona Barkat, to hold office as club
Permanent home uniform colors of the club
the Group prepared its home games
Starting season 2015/2016 Turner Stadium team is playing
the first team in the history of Israeli football played in a European factory (victory?)
the first group Be'er Sheva Israeli football history played in the UEFA Cup

It looks to me as if much of the translation was by Google Translate.Sussexpeople (talk) 05:04, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Badge size

edit

A badge size should not exced the size of 200-250px, as svg logos are copyrighted than wikipedia knows to automatically resizing them to fit in the infobox perfectly. if anyone want to see a bigger version than go to the image page itself. Do not add image size and increase it as all football logos should fit in all pages the same. HBS is not unique and should not had its logo take half a page cuz a user who is a fan wants to.--
