editFor the list of notable alumni, I could be wrong, but I think Edward Yourdon, the programming guru, and Charles Ludlam, the playwright, may be alumni. Perhaps someone would care to check and perhaps add them. AJim 02:33, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
Another notable alumn that's egregiously missing from the list is one Gregg "Opie" Hughes: legendary radio personality and creator of "The Opie & Anthony Show".
I've added Gregg twice, and someone keeps removing him. - revdangerfield.

Gregg Opie Hughes
editApparently this item has been deleted multiple times. Gregg falls under the Wikipedia:Notability_(people). I have added him to the list again. If he gets removed, please post specific reasons. He is notable for the following reasons:
- Creative professionals
- The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
- The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors.
- Entertainers
- Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.
- Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
- Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.Peterchiapperino (talk) 22:09, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
- Needs own article per WP:NLIST. EvergreenFir (talk) 00:50, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
According to WP:NLIST, in the second paragraph, it states:
"For instance, articles about schools often include (or link to) a list of notable alumni/alumnae, but such lists are not intended to contain everyone who attended the school — only those with verifiable notability."
Being that Gregg "Opie" Hughes is with out a doubt "verifiable notable person", as per the citations listed in the article, he fits the very criteria WP:NLIST states. The language in WP:NLIST, to my knowledge, states nothing about a person having their own page. Peterchiapperino (talk) 07:21, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
- I repeatedly mentioned WP:WTAF (as well as WP:NLIST) in my various edit summaries. That essay explains why not having an individual article is one sign of possibly not being notable. Conversely, his name is a redirect to his show or partnership, and notability is not inherited from a group to its individuals. While it's not a band, it sounds like a similar creative partnership;as WP:MUSICBIO "Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases." Thank you Peterchiapperino for finally saying something beyond just this partnership as something he has done, which finally gets us somewhere beyond just "part of notable group". However, the cites you provided only support the notability of "the group/show", not the individual at all, let alone substantially apart from that. I don't see cites for Gameday or GTA to be able to know if they are true and their significance. DMacks (talk) 18:25, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
If the significance of of his of GTA and XFL Gameday comes into question, it is understandable. However, deleting Gregg from the list is still quite unnecessary. Per Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative professionals, Gregg has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews. Those periodicals are cited and are significant. Peterchiapperino (talk) 00:41, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
