Function or operator
editThe introduction does not seem to follow from the title of this page. Brad7777 (talk)
- It is an operator, but is almost universally called the "maximal function". The issue isn't so much with this page, but the standard terminology in the field. Thenub314 (talk) 13:52, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
Proof
editIn the proof it is said that to invoke the Vitali covering lemma, the family of balls must have a bound on their diameter, yet the family of balls that is subsequently used is not shown to have any bound on the diameter. Cxseven (talk) 06:07, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
