A fact from Hardy Town, Gibraltar appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 9 June 2013 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Hardy Town, an encampment established by the civilians of Gibraltar to escape the Spanish bombardment of the Great Siege of 1779–83, was called the "Cowards' Retreat" by the British garrison?
Very! good article about sopmething that locals knew nothing/little about. Oh and can I suggest that you might include one of the paintings of what the ruins of the main town looked like - to show why a shanty town might be a good option compared with a blasted remains of a house.
