Arguments
editI know the book only by a magazine article. According to it, it states that most child who endured sexual abuse grow normally without long-term ill effects and those most affected were those living in deplorable families, where abuse was yet another atrocious experience. The article also explains that one of Levine's bases is a paper by Bruce Rind, Philip Tromovitch and Robert Bauserman published in 1998 by Psychological Bulletin about a review of earlier research on the consequences of sexual abuse on children. It goes on to seay that on 12 July 1999, US Congress condemned and censured the paper unanimously ("a historical step").
If all that is true, it should go on this article. A more detailed explanation of its theses is missing. --Error 01:32, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

- Gun politics
and so on. 84.173.237.87 11:06, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I am not a foreigner, but I know that the laws against children having guns is less about protecting minors from guns but more about protecting people in general against minors with guns.--A 18:19, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Elders/Masturbation
editI take issue with the characterization of the opinion that got Jocelyn Elders fired as it's in the lede here, and I propose to change it: she did not advocate the teaching *of* masturbation, she advocated teaching about masturbation in the context of a sex ed curriculum. The civilians who supported her firing were stupid gits, but we're not supposed to be. --Baylink 18:36, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
