Expansion?

There is a section on harmonic differential forms already in the de Rham cohomology article. Does it make sense to expand the scope of the present article to include harmonic differential forms? 74.98.35.86 (talk) 22:28, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

I really think that this article should be changed to a redirect to Hodge theory or de Rham cohomology, or to any of several closely related articles such as Closed and exact differential forms (there is a lot of duplication between those articles, so rationalization would be good). The description here is unfortunately very incomplete, giving only a very limited case: two dimensions. —Quondum 12:16, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Problematic terminology

I've just realized that "harmonic differential" (which is a form) and "harmonic differential form"/"harmonic form" are not the same thing: the former is the differential of an example of the latter. This terminology of Cohn's is severely problematic due to the potential for confusion. Is there a standard way of naming what he calls a "harmonic differential"? Failing any other suggestions, I would go for "differential of a harmonic form" (see second bullet of Harmonic differential § Notable results, keeping in mind that a solution to Laplace's equaltion is called a harmonic form). —Quondum 19:38, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
