7 carriage configuration in the '90s

edit

I remember frequently travelling on one of these trains on the Sandringham line in the early '90s. The train would arrive at South Yarra station from Sandringham to the City some time between 3:00 and 3:15pm every weekday at one point. I clearly remember 7 carriages as all other trains I had seen or travelled on up to that point were either 3 or 6 carriage sets. They had possibly the worst brakes of the fleet as they would absolutely stink of rubber whenever the train stopped. The smell was particularly bad on the platform but was still quite strong within the carriages. I was glad when they got rid of them as they were really unpleasant to travel on. I would like to add some of these comments to the article but I am unsure of the right way to do this. Danielklein (talk) 02:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed change to Harris primary topic

edit

At present if you type "Harris" into the wikipedia search box you are taken to the Isle of Harrises entry! As there are many uses of the word Harris it has been proposed to change this so that when you type "Harris" you are taken to the Harris (disambiguation) page instead.

If you support/oppose this move or have any comments please add your input to the Harris Talk page.
