After the fair recent AfD on this article, I decided to take on this project, and believe I've now created an article worth having. Once I found that Old Harrovians F.C. was the continuation of the club, I knew we could make it work. 1869: Report of the Wanderers first losing a match to Harrow School, and then "almost the same team, under the wing and name of Harrow Chequers came down and did their best to reverse the previous result. But with no better fate ..."[5] This report plainly suggests that the Wanderers and Chequers had much overlapping membership.
