I did some digging as to this man's date of death and place. Harry Watson is quite a common name so a little research is imperative so as to not clash or overlap with other performers of this name. A recurring editor keeps posting that he died in October 1965 at Penetanguishene Ontario. I combed through 667 pages of findagrave trying to find a Harry Watson, Jr. who died in 1930 ..but true enough (between pages 321-360) there is a Harry E. Watson, born in 1874 incidentally not 1876, who died at Penetanguishene in 1965. It doesn't say October 1, it just says 1965. The wiki editor who keeps reverting to the October 1 1965 death date provides no other source (the wiki isn't sourced) mentioning this date of death. Just for the record I'll link the Harry E. Watson found on findagrave, Harry E. Watson 1874-1965.
A careful look at Harry Watson, Jr.'s IMDb credits would reveal that he is sometimes billed with his middle initial B and that more importantly his work history stops at the year 1930; supporting the IMDb and other online entertainment sources that Harry B. Watson alias Harry Watson, Jr. is the Musty Suffer actor born in 1876 who died at Monrovia, California. Koplimek (talk) 01:13, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
This August 2011 [1] posting re ".....speaking of Musty Suffer......." at silentcomedymafia.com may be of interest:
"We have a very large clipping file on Harry Watson Jr. at NYPL's Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center."
"... evidence of what looks like three different Harry Watsons, all dumped together in the Harry Watson Jr. file." (bolding added)
"Our Musty Harry Watson Jr. seems to have dropped out of showbusiness in the mid 1920s...", "In the NYPL collection I found four color snapshots of him (nobody else looks quite like that) dated 1953..." (bolding added)
JLOPO, I don't know that a photo would be regarded as a WP:RS, though I think it could be uploaded to Wikisource. The inscription on the headstone may determine that too. If it has the full name, including middle name, and full dates of birth and death, then we may be able to be quite certain we have the right person. If it simply has "Harry Watson" it could be too ambiguous. Your photo might also fall under WP:Original research (WP:OR) 220ofBorg04:57, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
