American Manteuffel family
editI met his great-nephew David Manteuffel when he was a Captain in the neighboring tank battalion (3-68 Armor) in Mannheim, around 1981/82. He related that his father was a younger brother of the family who emigrated after World War One.74.130.83.208 (talk) 11:50, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Really ?
edit"...thus missing out on the campaigns in Poland and France."
I wonder if that sounds "sound" to a native English speaker as in my opinion it sounds like he missed something - like viewing a nice movie with his wife or so ... but that was (unjust) WAR and only the most silly of people would feel cheated when they can't participate for some reason. But hell, I see that kind of comment also in connection with current members of the Anglo/American armed forces, so maybe it's just a different view. Nice world, really ...

Uncle Edwin ?
editHow is he related to Edwin Freiherr von Manteuffel, or is he? Ditto for Otto Theodor von Manteuffel. 155.213.224.59 (talk) 14:49, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
