editThere are plenty of articles about the initial fire sparked by MECO being declared put out by firefighters and the bulldozer operator for the firebreak was sent home before the larger fire started more than six hours later that destroyed Lahaina. But the article paints a picture of something very different like an attack piece. The article says that MECO did not turn off the power but it had in fact been turned off multiple times according to various news articles.
